A Different NJ Lighthouse Challenge

Lighthouse Challenges are generally put on by lighthouse groups, often as a fundraiser. The goal is to visit as many of the lighthouses on the list and get a token at each, with those completing the “course” often getting a bigger gift. Remember the Surfmen

The sister group to the US Lighthouse Service was the US Life Saving Service. Often forgotten, and certainly not as well remembered as the lighthouse keepers, these brave men risked their lives to save shipwreck victims, while lighthouse keepers mostly just stood by.
