A recent
article in the Times Online reported on a cruise ship that had run aground, stranding 662 passengers in the Baltic Sea. Cause of the accident was the navigator was unclear whether to go right around the (unnamed) lighthouse, or around to the left. He obviously chose the wrong direction, stranding the mostly elderly German passengers. All were evacuated from the stuck ship safely.

“Someone has to step up or the lighthouse will be closed to the public,” said Nowlin. “Oregon State Parks and the BLM are bickering. They better figure it out because the lease expires on March 31, 2009.”
