More information as it becomes available, but for now:
There will be some special additions for this the 10th Annual NJ Lighthouse Challenge, October 17 and 18, 2009.
We hope to have two lighthouse boat trips available- one of the Raritan Bay Lighthouses in the North and one for the Delaware Bay Lighthouses in the south.
The souvenir token will be based on a Passport design- similar to the USLHS’s Passport. It’s uncertain exactly how it will be done- stickers for each LH or a stamp and pad system. The pin will probably be of a passport with a 10th on it.

We invite you to join representatives of the American Lighthouse Foundation (ALF) and its chapter, Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse (FPHL), on March 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., for a fun and informational event at the First Congregational Church in Kittery, Maine. Mr. James Gabbert, National Park Service historian, will serve as the keynote speaker for this special event announcing ALF’s new ownership of Whaleback Lighthouse.
Bob Trapani, executive director of ALF, along with Ross Tracy and Jeremy D’Entremont of FPHL, will also discuss the organization’s stewardship of Whaleback Lighthouse, a 50-foot granite tower offshore from Kittery at the mouth of the Piscataqua River. Ownership of the 1872 lighthouse was conveyed in November 2008 to ALF/FPHL under the guidelines of the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000.

I have only heard back from two of the seven winners in the birthday giveaway. On July 12, if I haven’t received the mailing addresses of those that have been drawn, I will redraw from the remaining names as a second chance drawing. So please, if I’ve contacted you with the news you were a winner, please get back to me before that date.
