Above the fold means that a person viewing the page in the standard 1024×768 resolution will see the banner without having to scroll down.

If you are interested in a banner ad, the standard 468×60 size, the cost for this will be $25 USD per month, with placement just below the featured story and visible again, “above the fold.”
