Fairport Harbor Lighthouse Sale Update

Get your bids in for Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Lighthouse. The General Services Administration has set October 26 as the soft close. A soft close means the sale will close on that date unless another, higher bid is received before their set time. Currently, as of today, the bids sit at $30,000.
For that money, you get one of the prettier lighthouses that have gone up for auction. And it’s relatively accessible, at the end of a breakwater in an Ohio State park. This lighthouse has so much potential, if you are looking to buy, this is the one to get. It’s an absolute beauty.
So, if you want to own a lighthouse, head on over to the GSA auction site and register to place your bids. Don’t forget you’ll need $5,000 earnest money before you can be recognized as a bidder. But be sure to read about the hidden cost of owning a lighthouse before you do.
Oh, and if anyone wants to loan me a few thousand dollars to buy this beauty, I’ll be sure to let you stay there for a week or two.

Thanks for sharing this post but I think its way to high for my budget. Could I refer it to some of my friends? Any more specific details? Will there be charge if I opt to try to stay there for trial?
