Okay, we know the staff at Google, the search engine people, are innovative. But did we know they have way too much time on their hands? Either that, or they get to take extraordinarily long lunch breaks. At their official blog, not a personal one but official, they’ve posted the results of taking a Fresnel lens, aimed it so the sunlight is concentrated, and see what they could burn. Or cook. It was lunch hour after all.
And just to give you a taste of what this is about, here is what happens when you try to cook a grape:

Hint. The cooked grape does not become a raisin.
To fully enjoy the entire series from these guys, you’d also have to visit Big Bad Al’s blog, where he uses his personal account to go into detail of all their experiments. That’s where all the great pictures are, too. Be sure you visit and watch more proof that boys will be boys and that they never grow up.
