Cape Cod Lighthouse Cruise

September 20, 2008
10:00 amto3:30 pm

Join the American Lighthouse Foundation September 20, 2008 for an exciting cruise with Dolphin Feet Whale Watch of Provincetown! Featured will be eight lighthouses on Cape Cod and in Buzzards Bay, plus the opportunity to cruise through the historic 17.4-mile Cape Cod Canal.

The cruise will leave from MacMillan Wharf in Provincetown at 10:00 a.m. We’ll see Race Point Light, Wood End Light, and Long Point Light around Provincetown, all maintained by the Cape Cod Chapter of ALF. We’ll then go through the Cape Cod Canal into Buzzards Bay to see Wings Neck Light, Cleveland Ledge Light, Neds Point Light, and Bird Island Light.

After passing back through the canal, we’ll see Sandy Neck Light on the return trip. Sandy Neck Light recently was topped by a new replica lantern, made possible by the Sandy Neck Restoration Committee of ALF’s Cape Cod Chapter.

ALF historian Jeremy D’Entremont will narrate the cruise. The boat has a fully stocked galley with snacks, hot and cold beverages, bagels, pizzas, chowder, beer, wine, and cocktails, and more. (Passengers are not permitted to bring alcohol on board.)

For directions and parking information: Take Route 6 East to Provincetown. At the traffic lights on Route 6, take a left onto Conwell Road. Take the second right onto Bradford Street.

Tickets: $70 for non-members, $64 for ALF members. You may purchase your tickets online, by mail using the printable form or by calling the American Lighthouse Foundation’s Rockland office at 207-594-4174.
