No one has yet placed a bid on the two lighthouses in New York (West Bank Lighthouse and Old Orchard Shoal Lighthouse) that are up for sale to the general public. The most popular search term that brings visitors to this site is lighthouses for sale, so here’s your chance for some waterfront property.

I so much would like to live in a light house. It puzzles me why nobody has bid on those just yet? I reckon we Europeans are in love with these properties for sure.

Hi Monique
It’s probably due to them being offshore. And the amount of work that has to be done to them. It is certainly possible to live on them, but I think most people would prefer one on land.
The GSA has set up inspection dates, so perhaps we’ll see some bids afterwards.
