The Mid-Coast Maine Lighthouse Challenge is a non-profit event sponsored by the Friends of the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse for the purpose of educating the public about the lighthouses of Maine.
During this 2 day event participants are “challenged” to visit the 8 lighthouses and 1 museum included in the event. When you visit each site you will receive a souvenir token commemorating your visit of the site. If you choose to walk the breakwater to the Rockland Breakwater Light, you will receive a special bonus token, stating that you have walked the breakwater to the lighthouse.
Special event T-shirts and pins will be available for purchase at a few select locations. These will be in limited quantities, so buy them early!
The following lighthouses (and museum) are included in this years Challenge.
