More Vandalism At Tacking Point

It never ends. According to an article at the Port Macquerie News, vandals have once again hit the Tacking Point Lighthouse, this time by spray painting grafitti on the light. This happened over the night on Monday, 28 January.
The author of the article calls for closing off access to the site at night, which to me is a shame it has to come to this. One of the most rewarding evenings is heading out to your local lighthouse after dusk and enjoying the peace and beauty of these beacons shining their lights out to sea. And at my local lighthouse, that also means listening to the wonderful song of the Pemaquid Point bell buoy.

To have this privilege revoked because of the shameful actions of a few is criminal.
