Sankaty: Only 50 Feet To Go

Sankaty Lighthouse is only about fifty feet away from its new home, at the edge of the Sankaty Head Golf Course. The final move and placement on its new foundation is expected to be completed on Sunday, October 7. Right now, it’s perched about four feet in the air on steel beams. The Inquirer and Mirror has day by day coverage of the move, along with a well-written editorial.
