Lighthouse Celebrates 150th Anniversary

Horton Point LighthouseThe Horton Point Lighthouse, located in the town of Southold, NY, at the north side of Long Island, has served as a navigational aid for marine vessels for nearly 150 years. As its anniversary approaches, residents, along with local and state officials, are invited to commemorate the history of the lighthouse on June 30.

The 150th anniversary celebration for Horton Point Lighthouse will take place at the lighthouse at 3 p.m. The facility is located at the end of Lighthouse Road, in Southold. The event is open to the public.
